You do get biltong at the local Farmers Markets in the UK. But it is different. Not the same.

The markets are different.  Everything is different. Not just the weather and it all takes a bit of getting used to.

Besides the monthly South Africa Day at the Rother Valley Farm I haven’t found the sort of market where there is seating and you mix browsing with a leisurely breakfast. Here we buy what we want and take it away.

Sometimes you get a food van with a couple of tables but your regular Farmers Markets are generally about stalls selling to shoppers who come to buy and leave with it all tucked up in a bag.
